Porcelain Hour / Tea moments

About Porcelain Hour

The vessel matters. A small collection with a clear point of view.

A place for a closer look

Porcelain Hour is an independent editorial collection about tea cups, pots and their place at the table. Its starting point is porcelain cups: something ordinary enough to return to, and interesting enough to reward a little attention.

The journal brings together six original articles, each with a specific exercise and a clear way to keep a record. It is designed for unhurried browsing and practical personal notes, without scores, accounts or an endless feed.

Words and illustrations

The articles are original observation and practice guides. All the illustrations are locally drawn vector studies made for this collection. They interpret forms and relationships; they are not photographs or evidence of a real event.

How to use the collection

Start with any subject that feels familiar. Keep your own observations in a separate notebook and adapt the scale of an exercise to your circumstances. The small starting guide offers a short session structure, and the journal index lets you search all six notes.

An intentionally small publication

The collection makes no claim to represent a named institution, studio, customer or certified professional service. Its purpose is to offer a coherent set of thoughtful pages about tea cups, pots and their place at the table.
